Through processes of accumulation, concealment and transformation, these paintings explore the traces left by time upon experience. Built through successive layers of colour and material, the surfaces veil, reveal and alter what lies beneath, turning the act of painting itself into a metaphor for memory.
Rather than depicting a specific place, the works inhabit an intermediate territory between presence and absence, where what is visible coexists with what remains concealed. Each layer preserves traces of previous decisions, creating a quiet tension between what emerges and what has settled beneath the surface.
The series investigates painting as a space of permanence: a place where experiences, emotions and memories do not disappear, but continue to exist in transformed form. Here, memory is not presented as narrative, but as resonance.
